The MC6000 High Performance Controler has two general-purpose registers, "acc" used for data manipulation and "dat" used for storage, four XBus pins, two simple I/O pins and can hold up to fourteen lines of code. The extra capabilites make the MC6000 a more versatile microcontroller than the MC4000, but it is more expensive costing ¥5.

The MC6000 can be programmed in the MCxxxx family common language consuming one unit of power per simple instruction. Being more powerful than the MC4000, the MC6000 is a good choice for prototyping new functional designs without optimization in mind.
